Lake Moultrie

Lake Moultrie is a large freshwater lake located in Berkeley County, South Carolina. It was created in 1942 by the construction of a dam on the Cooper River. With a surface area of over 60,000 acres, Lake Moultrie is one of the largest lakes in South Carolina. The lake is popular for boating, fishing, and recreational activities such as swimming and water skiing. There are several marinas around the lake where boats can be rented, and there are also numerous public boat ramps. Fish species in the lake include largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, and bream.
